What is Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a hands on manual therapy treatment approach designed to address problems at the root level. The John F. Barnes approach uses gentle guided techniques to restore function and mobility.

The underlying cause of many impairments can be linked to fascial restrictions in the body.

Fascia is the connective tissue surrounding the entire inner body; like an interconnected web it functions to support structure and movement. When soft tissue and fascia become damaged through injury, overuse, trauma, or surgery fascia binds down to the surrounding tissues like glue; thus, creating restrictions in movement and cause pain over pain sensitive areas.
